Convention Objectives

Teachers are the mediators, the “conductors” of their classrooms, the people whose work makes a child evolve by learning itself, the outside world and accumulates knowledge which leads to experience. The 36th Annual TESOL Convention will feature presenters from all over the world who will address all issues relating to how we can take teaching to new heights, the ever-evolving role of the teacher and the difficulties our profession comprises. They will offer both theoretical and practical knowledge on how to reach the sky as far as teaching is concerned, emphasizing on the role of the teacher who is indispensable in the learning process.

Conference programme

The conference programme includes plenary sessions with world-class experts, smaller presentation and special focus sessions, practical demonstrations and debates on specific topics, as well as various informal networking opportunities in which practitioners share their experiences, ideas, new information and perspectives.

Workshop sessions

A full-day programme of workshops conducted by leading ELT practitioners. These small, intensive sessions offer attendees a unique opportunity to fine-tune their skills and acquire new ones.

Exhibition area

An exhibition and demonstration area accompanies the programme, where leading international publishers present their latest products and services. Every year, participants evaluate the exhibition as a critical meeting point for professional interaction within the conference.
